• Important update (for disasters that occur on or after 3/22/24): FEMA has removed the requirement that survivors apply for an SBA loan before being considered for certain types of financial assistance. Previously, FEMA required survivors apply for these loans before receiving assistance for personal property and other non-housing losses.

• Disaster Assistance - SBA Disaster loans - The SBA has disaster assistance programs, including Home and Personal Property Disaster Loans and Business Disaster Loans. SBA can make low-interest disaster loans to homeowners, renters and businesses who have been victims of a disaster.
